My name is Mikaela , I am 19 years old and currently living in Basel. I am a responsible, patient, and dedicated person who truly enjoys working with children. Spanish is my native language, and I also speak English fluently.
I have formal experience working for one year as a teacher in a Mine school in Quito, Ecuador, supporting children in their daily learning and encouraging their self-love, confidence, and emotional development.
I also worked as a sports teacher for extracurricular activities in the same institution, creating dynamic and fun activities for children of various ages. In addition, I completed 100 hours of social work at a foundation for children with autism called Amén, where I learned to work with great sensitivity, respect, and adaptability.
I participated in a two-month summer camp, where I was in charge of a house, taking full responsibility for the children’s routines, activities, and well-being. Over the years, I have also supported more than 20 families, providing reliable childcare, emotional support, and assistance with daily tasks. During this time and experiences, I worked with children between 4 and 13 years old, giving me experience across a wide age range and a strong understanding of their different needs and stages.
I love creating a safe, joyful, and enriching environment through games, creative activities, and structured routines. I am flexible and open to adapting to each family’s needs.
