Aline, Baby Sitter - 1248 Hermance

Hi. My name is Aline, I’m 29 years old. I’m from Brazil, But now I am an au pair in France.
Since I have a lot of free time I thought would be a good ideia to find a part time job.

Gonna write down a little bit of my experiences with kids.

I was an English teacher at a language school called CCAA in Brazil and in a private school as well. There, I used to teach kids, teenagers and adults; and I also used to give private lessons. I did volunteer work with kids for 4 years in Brazil.

I was an Au Pair in New York 2015/2017 City and I lived with an american family for two years.
After my year as an Au Pair, I got back to Brazil, and a friend of mine who lives in China asked me If I would like to go to China and teach English in a kindergarten. So, I thought, why not? And then I moved to Beijing and lived there for 6 months. I worked in a school called Sun Kids, teaching children from Kindergarten (3-4yrs) Junior (5-8yrs). I loved the variety of experiences that it offers as every class is interesting and the kids are very cute. I used to be active and involved with the children, since they love to have fun and connect with people. You can feel the energy the kids bring and the reward of seeing them learn and bond with each other.

After that, I wanted to go back to NYC, so I started looking for nanny jobs. In December of 2017 I got back to NYC, this time with a new host family. I worked for a single mom for 10 months taking care of her two kids. As my year in NY came to an end, I came back to my country, where I was working as an English teacher in two schools. 

Then in I’ve decided to become an Au Pair in Holland 2020/2021 because I wanted to meet a new family, make new friends and experience a new city and its culture. Besides, it has always been my dream to get to know Europe better, immerse myself in a new culture and, of course, to learn a new language. I stayed in Holland for a year then I moved to France where I work to a Swiss family.

It was during my au pair years that I really started to develop a sense of who I was, and think about who I wanted to be and what I wanted to accomplish in life. I learned that I was a very social and adventurous person. Being an au pair is a very good addition to your CV, because it shows that you work hard, take responsibility, and are brave enough to leave your country for a new culture. But I would also say that these experiences was so enriching at every level. It is an adventure and a challenge which cannot be compared to anything else: it’s a cultural experience that, in many ways, will define you for the rest of your life.
