Dear Au Pair, after having had already 2 au pairs who we had great experiences with, we are looking again as of September for a new au pair. We are a German / Belgian family living in a beautiful small town between Lausanne and Geneva. , we are looking for an au pair who could take care or our twins ( boy & girl) (30 hours/week) who are 3 years old and their older sister who is 6 years old and is going to school.
The twins are really adorable. They love and admire their older sister who is very caring and kind to them.
We are a very easy-going and open minded family and love the international environment we live in. We are looking for a caring, reliable, dynamic, cheerful , mature, organized au pair who genuinely enjoys caring for children.
The job includes taking care of the twins during the day, picking them also up at the crèche, and playing with their sister when she comes home from school, preparing light meals, tiding up the kids’ room/toys and giving them baths.
The languages currently spoken at home are German and Dutch, but the children speak English and French when outside. Ideally you speak fluently English. If you like working in a town, close to nature, well connected to the bigger cities, while overlooking lake Geneva and the Swiss Alps and possibly want to learn or improve your German, French or Dutch… get in touch!
My husband comes from Munich, is 45 years old and speaks German, English and basic French. He works for a Swiss company close to Lausanne. In his free time he likes renovating old timers :) I am Belgian, 46 years old and speak Flemish (Dutch), German, French and English. I work for an American company in a small town at Lake Geneva. I like all kind of sports (biking, cross fit, swimming, hiking, ....)
Our twin girl loves music and laughs a lot. Her brother is very active and super curious. Their older sister is an intelligent girl, speaks very well 4 languages and is very caring about her little brother and sister and she loves to cuddle:) My husband and I met in Switzerland and totally fell in love with the beauty of this country! We hope to stay many more years :)
We live in a small town, between Lausanne and Geneva. Ideal for kids as we are surrounded by beautiful nature (even ski slopes next door and lots of hiking opportunities). Although it is a small village, it is a very international neighborhood! South Africans, Italians, Brazilians, Russians, Germans.... We live in a dead end street with lots of kids of the same age playing together. There are busses going to the major cities every hour should you like to go out during your free time. On Thursday evenings lots of au pairs meet in Nyon near the lake where they socialize, make friends for live and plan trips together. The group is led by a very active couple who has hosted the group since many years. They make you feel at home very quickly! If you are open-minded and looking forward to making new friends, getting to know different cultures, it should be a once in a life time experience!
