Alison, Kinderbetreuung (Allmendingenb bern - 3112)

Hi families! I am a 25 year old Canadian female moving to Bern in August and looking for fulfilling work caring for children. I have experience as a babysitter for more than 10 years, with full time nanny experience during the summer for several years with newborns to toddlers to young children as old as 13.

I am an outdoorsy, athletic, and happy person, and my best qualities as a nanny will be playing with your kids. Letting children learn and be creative through play (dress up, toys, make-believe, music...) is so important and I am a play-all-day kind of person!

I am also thrilled to cook nutritious meals, ensuring that you come home to a clean environment with dinner on the table. Personally, I eat vegan but have no issues preparing meals with meat or dairy :)

I supported my previous family here in Canada through potty training, sleep training, and weaning of both of their children. I also gained this experience with my younger brother who is now 8 years old.

Since the COVID-19 situation, I have also been supporting my brother with his online learning and homeschool, and would be happy to make sure your little ones have homework support, especially with english and math.

I grew up in a family of 5 and have been caring for my siblings and many cousins for most of my life. I can drive and am very familiar with the craziness of school/work/sports, I can help you manage your family's busy schedule as the world returns to normal.

I do not speak German but will be enrolled in German school upon arrival in Bern, and I would love the opportunity to help your kids with their English while I learn German!

Any first aid courses you require for the care of your children is find with me. I have been certified here in Canada in the past and would be happy to make sure I take the appropriate courses in Switzerland.

I am university educated and have several years of work experience in sales and marketing, but as I will be focused on learning german and experiencing Switzerland, taking care of children is what I would like to do for the first 6 months-year if I find the right family. Ideally, I would have 20-30 hours per week, and I would be open to live-in nannying and traveling with your family when necessary if there is a good fit between us. 1-3 children of any age works for me, and don't be afraid if you have a newborn!
