I am writing to express my interest in the Childcare Assistant/Babysitter position.

My name is María , and I am currently completing a Bachelor's Degree in Sport and Exercise Science (CAFYD) at Universidad Isabel I in Spain. Throughout my studies and work experience, I have developed strong communication, responsibility and interpersonal skills, which I believe are essential when working with children.

I have experience working with children through my role as a Swimming Instructor, where I taught swimming lessons to children of different ages and abilities. This experience allowed me to create a safe, positive and enjoyable learning environment while ensuring that every child felt supported and encouraged. I learned how to communicate clearly, adapt activities to individual needs and maintain children's attention in a fun and engaging way.

In addition, I have worked as a Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor, helping people achieve their goals through motivation, patience and encouragement. These experiences have strengthened my ability to build trusting relationships, provide guidance and create structured activities tailored to individual needs.

Sport has always been a major part of my life. I am a competitive triathlete with more than 14 years of experience in swimming, cycling and running. Through sport, I have developed discipline, responsibility, resilience and a strong work ethic. I enjoy promoting healthy habits, active lifestyles and positive values, especially among young people.

I consider myself a caring, reliable and energetic person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. I am patient, responsible and attentive to their wellbeing and safety. I understand the importance of creating a nurturing environment where children can feel comfortable, confident and happy. Whether helping with daily routines, supervising activities, assisting with homework or organising games and outdoor activities, I always aim to make children feel supported and engaged.

I am also comfortable working as part of a team and communicating effectively with parents to ensure that children receive the best possible care. My background in sport and health has given me a strong awareness of safety, wellbeing and healthy lifestyle habits, which I believe can be valuable in a childcare setting.
