Amelia, Tagesm (Versoix)

With a strong background in wildlife conservation and field research, I bring a unique blend of dedication, responsibility, and adventure to my work with children. Over the past year, I’ve been immersed in conservation efforts in South Africa, where I completed certifications as a Nature Site Guide and Apprentice Trails Guide. During my placement at Siyafunda Research Camp, I shared my knowledge of biodiversity while ensuring the health and safety of volunteers and children on guided drives.

I’m passionate about fostering curiosity and learning through exploration and play. My previous childcare experience includes babysitting a 5-year-old neighbour, where I provided attentive, caring supervision and engaged the child in educational and fun activities, building a warm and trusting relationship. Additionally, I worked as an after-school caregiver at a local garderie, looking after children of all ages. I created and led activities that encouraged social interaction, creativity, and physical exercise.

I’m always excited to explore new ideas and activities, bringing a sense of adventure and discovery to my interactions with children. Whether it's through outdoor play, creative learning, or educational games, I love designing activities that entertain while fostering a deeper understanding of the world around them. My experience in fieldwork and guiding has given me the ability to confidently manage responsibilities while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
