Lauren, Kindermädchen (Winterthur)

Hello everyone!

I’m Lauren (22) and currently studying english literature by distance. As I want to become a teacher, I’d love to use my free time working with children.

I’m French, having lived in Paris, in Normandy, in the south of France and for 7 years on the Reunion Island. I’ll move to Winterthur in September (so available from the 1st) with my boyfriend (swiss german). I speak French as mother tongue and also English which I use with my family living in the US, in my studies and in my relationship. I learned German as second language at school but due to a lack of practice I have lost most of it. I’m currently getting back into the language and I’m confident about my progress. I therefore can speak French and English with your children, but I don’t think I can yet interact in German in a relevant way with them, but it’ll come, that’s for sure!

I’ve got my driving license since 4 years and I also have a car so it’s entirely possible for me to pick up your children after school, to accompany them to their after-school activities, or simply organize excursions with them. As my mother works with children and has a Montessori diploma and as my sister is director of an alternative school on the Reunion Island, I’m aware of the child-friendly education methods. Additionally, I’m not a professional cook but I really appreciate practicing it!

Building a relationship with the children and the family is important for me, therefore I'm looking for a long-term employment. I already work for a family (8 months old baby) on every Thursday (full day) and I'm looking for another full day (about 10h) Wednesday (ideally) or Friday.
