Hi, my name is Rutendo. I am 23 years of age and come from the Southern part of Africa, from Zimbabwe. I recently earned my degree in international relations and economic sociology at Rhodes University in South Africa. I have been caring for children most of my childhood as I was the eldest of 2 children and eight cousins. I have two years of experience as a tertiary, primary, and secondary education tutor. I genuinely love working with young kids, and I approach each child as an individual whom I get to help grow and teach. The most lovely thing for me either has to be potty training (it’s a mini-drama that I cannot wait to see how it concludes) and for older children mentoring has to be one of my favourite things to do as this allows me to learn more about the child and more about myself as well (it is a humbling experience truly). With a background in education and music, I encourage creative play like drawing, making music, dancing with a warm and caring demeanour. I am very proficient in English, and I can speak basic French. I am available on weekdays from the morning until 5p, and I have the flexibility to work on weekends where need be. I also love cooking, and I am pretty good at it. I would love to meet you and get to know your children.
