Isabelle, Baby Sitter - 3007 Bern

Hi there!

I´ve recently lived in Bern for two years working as a nanny for two wonderful families. I´m currently in Australia as I write where I´ve been surfing, living and supporting a family with their child age 2. Other than that I’ve worked as a childcare worker at a preschool in my hometown in Sweden where I’ve got good experiences and knowledge with me.

I believe all ages are absolutely wonderful to work with. To be able to support children in their different challenges that their age comes with, to encourage them to develop healthy social and emotional skills and introduce them to different variations of learning through creative, athletic and educational activities.

I also know the value of clear boundaries and the importance of consistent rules in consultation with the parents. I see every child as its own intelligent individual and I’m constantly fascinated by their amazing minds and creative ideas.

In Sweden we say “there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes!”, for me it’s important to spend time outdoors and I value the great benefits for a child’s development that it comes with.

So who am I?
I´m a 25 year old from the west coast of Sweden with a positive and grounded attitude. Being outdoors is when I feel the most at home, especially while surfing or climbing. I enjoy spending my time reading at cafés and swimming. Over the past five years I´ve had the opportunity to live and work abroad in both Portugal, Switzerland and Australia which has taught me a lot about myself and my values. After all my travels, I have decided Bern is the place I´d like to settle down.
