Hello,

We are looking for an au pair to come and live with us asap!

We are a Swiss/English family who moved from London to Geneva last year with our two young children, Eloise (4yo) and Oscar (2yo). Our nanny who has been with us for 2.5 years came with us to help with the transition. As both children will now attend school/nursery every morning, we are looking for a fun, honest, loving and reliable au pair to come and look after Eloise and Oscar on average 4 afternoons per week. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our family for min a year. However we also value her independence and respect her own time whether on evenings or weekends.
Both my husband and I work but keeping a balanced work/family life is extremely important to both us.
We live in Vésenaz, which is 5 minutes outside the city centre of Geneva. The bus stop is 50 meters away from our house and all ameneties are within walking distance. Our house has a small garden and the au pair will have her own entrance in the basement with large bedroom and ensuite bathroom.
Eloise goes to a bilingual school 4 mornings per week (incl. lunch). The school is opposite our house
Oscar will start going to a nursery 4 mornings per week (excl. lunch), which is a 2 min drive from our house.
They were both brought up on a set routine and are very easy to deal with. Both still nap although I suspect Eloise will stop soon. They know how to play together well and love being outdoors when not at school.

We are looking for somone who loves children and who has a true passion for being with children. We have a cleaning lady and therefore don't expect the au pair to do extensive cleaning but rather focus on:
- taking children to school (when required)
- picking them up from school
- preparing lunch for Oscar
- playing with them / taking them to the park etc in the afternoons
- cook dinner (a few nights a week for the entire family)
- babysit one evening per week
- wash chidlren's clothes (not iron)
- change children' sheets
- assist in the general maintenance of our household as we consider that as we all live under the same roof, we all share certain responsibilities.
