My name is Ribeiro, 47 years old, Portuguese living and working in Zürich, Switzerland.

With this Cover letter, I hope I can describe in a summary a bit of who I am, my work experience and expectations.

I have 13 years experience with children, 7 years as a Music teacher in a class rooms and 6 years as a Nanny in Private Household.
My experience with children ranges in age from 8 months to 10 years old. I was fully commited to my duties as a full time Nanny and household supporter or manager.

My background:
In the past, during my studies, I had a great experience in Portugal as a Music teacher of children's groups between 3 to 14 years old. The main activities were: Music games, learning basic music notation, using basic instrumental support, executing songs with or without movement. Good choices made a overall balanced educational environment to maintain a group together happy, open to knowledge and being interactive. This experience background was very important to feel confidant to accept a new work challenge as a Nanny.
Aside of my educational work I had in Brazil some small business wich gave me I believe, more qualities to be autonomous and managing multi-tasking situations that normally comes along.

My main goal as a Nanny and Educator is to
keep the kids, secure, healthy
and happy. I believe the little ones deaserve from us the right educational tools to prepare them for life. According to my background in teaching, Nanny work experience and personal passion, I think I am skiful enough to understand a child's mind and to create a healthy educational enviorment.

My Nanny experience:
Art crafts, fun general toys playings, music activities, swimming, cycling, cooking, playground, playdates, ... This and much more, it all depends of each family's/children needs and tastes.
Dealing with 2 or 3 children at the same time requires lots of attention to details and good activities coordenation according to the age development and tastes. Patience, negotiation, respect and creativity are necessary to keep the children open to grow and being prepared for life challenges. Knowledge is very important but personal qualities like, being sociable, caring, being active learners with healthy curiosity and respect makes the little ones great human beings in the future. A child needs to interact with the experience of the senses, to observe and to be able to ask questions. I quite stimulate the child on this direction, using what is on my hand: a toy, a movie, news, events, a walk in the park, etc. The subjects can vary and they are immense to explore with a child.

One of my main focus and action is to help the children to learn how to be more free thinkers, to have their own opinion and to take care of their own things. Authonmy is the key to a healthy grow. I do fit perfectly in Montessori educational approach and I think children react very positively with it.

My daily basis routine as a full time Nanny are:
Preparing children in the morning to go to school, feeding and bring them to school and back home
Organizing and preparing the family meals, in a healthy and tasty style
Keeping the main home areas, cleaned and tidy
Children's laundry
Playtime and playdates
Bathing and bringing them to bed

At this present moment I am available to start to work as soon as possible. The recent Nanny job terminated at 31/May/2022.
The resons of termination contracts with the families were basicly the children are older and don't need so much more Nanny work or the positions where temporary.

My hobbies and personal tastes:
As I am an Art lover, in my free time I eather like to listen to music, play piano ( if available) or paint. I love nature, pets, movies, discover new, tasty and healthy cooking, cycling, going to the gym, etc. I basically like to be active and enjoying life.

My expectations:
In my new future job, I am looking forward to be a good match and hoping to be seen as a trustful warm person.
I personally like to know what works best for a family and I would like to think I will be considered as a part that contributes. In this matter I think is important for me to be open to parents suggestions and be able to perform according to their vision and hopefully close to my vision. I would like to be seen as a good contribution to help to the family needs.
I try to do my very best in all given tasks and sometimes thinking a bit “out of the box”! I believe myself to be an autonomous person that pays attention to details and have hands on what needs to be done.
