Monette, garde d'enfant à domicile à Châtelaine

I started taking care of children at the age of 17, I tutored/ babysitted 3 children, ages 7, 3 and 2. I helped the eldest with his homework, the second child too, but most of the time i would read story books. We mainly conversed in English though they are Spanish/French family. I taught them basic English especially the youngest, we would also enjoy singing nursery rhymes (in English) and dancing. If they had a free time, I would bring them in the park to play football, tennis etc. Sometimes i picked them up from their after-school activities (KUMON). And brought them to a friend's party. I also helped the mother with their before-bedtime activities like bathing, brushing, tucking them to sleep. I also joined them with their trips, which i enjoyed much because it was all new and great experiences for me.

My latest babysitting experience was from October 2012-march 2014. She was then a lovely 5 months old baby, which i took care monday-friday from 9:30 am- 5 p.m., Her parents work at that time span, so i do basically everything, feeding, bathing, putting to sleep/nap, changing soiled diapers, playing, bringing her to the park. i took initiative with teaching her English words which her parents was happy about. We would sing lots of nursery rhymes, and dance too. Her routine is very important for she would sometimes be irritable or affected if it’s disrupted. She is now a bubbly, sweet, loving little girl at 2 years old.

Aside from those, I, on my own have 2 kids of 4 years and 6 months of age. I have much knowledge on newborn- pre-school age care. Providing their basic needs, ensuring safe environment, and giving them unconditional love and care are the most important things for them to achieve utmost growth and development in all aspects.

On a more personal note, I am a loving, honest, patient, and enthusiastic person who's always willing to listen and learn. I like strolling to parks, i enjoy outdoors. I would love to travel to different places if given a chance.

I have a degree in nursing. I speak English, Filipino and Spanish enough to converse. I have a Spanish citizenship/ passport.
