Présentation

My dream would be to recreate a mini casa dei bambini Montessori in my home, but I can't afford to rent a place immediately, so one possibility would be to find interested families who would agree to hire me as a nanny in their home to begin with, in order to be able to justify my income and rent a place where I could welcome their children with all the necessary equipment and create a dream place for the little ones.

Originally from France, I did my Montessori teacher diploma and my experience in Canada where I had the opportunity to work in different schools and daycare centers (Montessori and other pedagogical models) with children from different origins and mother tongues. This allowed me to see different organizations and I had the responsibility of taking charge of classes ranging from 8 to 37 students, in multi-age groups from 18 months to 6 years old, but above all I had the privilege of being able to create my own daycare at home, a real mini “casa dei bambini” Montessori with a group of 6 students from 2 to 6 years old, the laws of Quebec do not allow more.

My Montessori training gives me a solid base and a range of activities (practical life, sensory, mathematics, language, science) and tools, but above all provides a structured framework that promotes inner peace in children and creates an outer harmony in their behaviors and relationships. This stable and coherent framework gives the child great freedom of action, exploration, choice, while learning to respect people and places. But I don't limit myself to Montessori material and in my little daycare center I was lucky enough to be able to offer all kinds of additional activities: songs, dance, yoga, indoor and outdoor motor skills courses, plastic arts (painting and crafts), conversations and philosophical debates, cooperative games, construction, logic, creation, role play, cooking, gardening, observation of nature and animals, we even had the chance to raise caterpillars and monarch butterflies in partnership with the botanical garden as part of a study on reproduction and migration. And although I had to wake them up urgently in the middle of the nap, they were able to witness the birth of one of the butterflies and see it come out of its chrysalis, dry its wings, etc.

I like to keep parents informed of their children's development, progress and interests and even involve them as much as they wish.
I observe the children and take notes in order to see the progress and therefore the needs of each one. But as impressive as children's learning and development can be, at the end of the day I always feel like I've learned the most and that's probably what I love the most about my job, the fact that we never get bored and that we learn and evolve ourselves every day. I observe children, take into account their uniqueness and identify their "sensitive periods" and adapt activities to their current needs and interests to better support their development in all its dimensions (affective, physical, cognitive, etc.), allow them to grow at their own pace, letting them guide and discover the taste of learning by themselves and for themselves, always following their impulses, curiosity and interests.

I speak perfect French and English level C1 (recent diploma to certify the level) however my accent is very French and I find it preferable to teach perfect French to children rather than less good English. I had many children who did not speak a word of French when they arrived, they learn very quickly and easily at this age and in this context of play, while it becomes very difficult and less pleasant to learn later at school.

I would like to take advantage of my experience and create a pleasant, serene, stimulating, joyful and fun atmosphere, conducive to harmonious and caring interactions, mutual aid, collaboration and co-creation. I am flexible, patient and creative.

I think there are families somewhere who share a common interest with me,

If you recognize yourself in this project or if you think you know someone who would be interested, do not hesitate to contact me.

I would have loved to be in the cantons of lucerne, zug, nidwalden, obwalden but I am open to go almost anywhere.

I leave you with two quotes that perfectly sum up my vision and my approach:

“The child is not a vessel that one fills, but a spring that one lets flow” and “One way of measuring the relevance of an educational model is the level of happiness of a child.” Maria Montessori.
