Caterina, jeune fille au pair à Berbenno di valtellina

Hello everyone! :)
My name is Caterina, I am a 23 years old girl from Italy.
My mother tongue is Italian. I've been studying English since Elementary School and my English level is fine (b2), although I would like to improve it more thanks to this experience. I am very good at comprehension but less in speaking, since I've never had the opportunity to practice it. I also have a basic knowledge of Spanish and French (I studied it for 3 years, but long time ago).
I want to become an Au Pair for different reasons. I feel the need to improve my English (and, if possible, to get close with my host country's language) and I would like to take the opportunity to change my life for a while, doing something I am passionate about. I think that living in a family with children is an excellent opportunity to cultivate important relationships for my life and future! Visiting different countries and cities is also one of my greatest passions and this experience would allow me to crown it.

In my family we are five (actually 6..with my dog Mila): my parents, me and my two older siblings. My father is a former bank employee, now retired, while my mother has dedicated most of her life to take care of her children, and now she's helping my aunt in the management of her restaurant. My brother Daniele is 29 years old, and my sister Giulia is 26 years old (she has been an Au Pair in the USA for 2 years). My parents' house is located in a small town in northern Italy, Sondrio, in the middle of the Alps. Valtellina (the valley where we live) is a very quiet place and ideal for those who love to practice sports and being in the middle of nature. For the past three years, however, I have mainly lived in Milan, in order to attend university classes. I loved living in a big city, attending cultural events and meeting new people from all over the world.

After completing my studies at the "Uman Sciences High School", I enrolled at the University of Milan Bicocca to study some subjects that particularly interest me, such as psychology and communication. During these years I have had the opportunity to undertake some internship experiences, for example at the kindergarten, where I took care (toghether with their teachers) of a class of children, following them in their school activities, and I also worked as an Editorial manager of the online communication channels of “Potenziamento Mentale” at Marzia Menotti, psychologist and psychotherapist.

I have been living by myself for a while now and I definitely love being indipendent and make time for myself. I love to treat myself, read a great book and do my beauty routine. I like to keep my room cleaned since I am very organized and neat person. I also enjoy meeting new people that share my same passions and interests. I love fashion and art exibitions. I usually spend my free time shopping in a Thrift Shop, having a drink in a coffee shop, visiting museums and hanging out with my friends in nice spots. I do like sports. I've been a sporty person since I was a child. I love biking, roller skating, playing beach volley and skiing. I am willing to play any sports since I love spending time outside and being active. I really love animals, and for this reason it would be amazing for me to live in a family with pets. I love organizing picnics, nice dinners and having nice conversations.

I have often taken care of my cousins and friends children. Since I was a child I've always been surrounded by my older siblings and cousins and I know the importance of growing up with someone who can give you unconditional love and be a good example. I do believe that it is fundamental for a child to be encoraged to cultivate a passion and stimulated to express his innerself. I would like to share my time and passions with your children, teaching each others something new and special.

I'm now about to graduate in Psycjosocial sciences of communication at the University of Mlan-Bicocca and I'm looking for a loving and happy family starting from September 2022, if you are interested let me know!
I consider myself a sociable and friendly person, able to put people at ease. I am an empathetic, openminded and willing person and for this reason I tend to build deep and lasting relationships. If at first I can seem quite shy, once I gain more confidence I open up and I can be a funny and comic person. I am a responsible, flexible, proactive and a respectful girl.
I'd love to live in a big city like Paris.

Other information
- I am allergic to instamine, my nutritionist prescribed me a diet where I have to avoid some foods, not a big problem anyway, I can handle it easily
- I am fully vaccinated against Covid 19.
