My name is Alejandra Saldana, and I am excited about the opportunity to work with a thoughtful and caring family to help foster a nurturing and engaging environment for children to thrive in.
I am a recent graduate of the University of Notre Dame (B.Arch), consistently ranked among the best universities in the US, and while I have been working as an architect, I am now shifting my focus to pursue my true passion: helping children thrive and reach their full potential. I am relocating to the French-speaking part of Switzerland, and I am eager to contribute to a caring and dynamic environment that fosters learning and curiosity.
My previous experiences have given me invaluable skills in mentorship, communication, and child development. As a Program Assistant for the University of Notre Dame’s Rome Global Gateway, I worked with university students in both English and Italian. Additionally, my time as an in-classroom assistant at the Robinson Community Learning Center Preschool allowed me to interact with and care for young children (ages 3-5) from diverse linguistic backgrounds, in both English and Spanish. I have also served as Head Coach and mentor for the National Hispanic Institute, where I guided high school students and fostered a love of learning and community engagement in both English and Spanish. These roles have greatly shaped my passion for supporting others' growth and learning, and it is my aspiration to carry these lessons and values into my future endeavors.
In addition to my strong organizational and management skills, my background in architecture and creativity enables me to think critically and adapt to different situations. I am confident that these attributes will allow me to contribute meaningfully to children's development. I truly believe in the importance of fostering a supportive, caring environment where children can feel a sense of belonging and excitement to learn about themselves, others, and the world around them. I would love to be part of a home that emphasizes curiosity and creativity, and look forward to the possibility of contributing to children’s growth and creating engaging and fun learning experiences.
