We are an international family looking for a positive, competent person to help with our two children, ages 3 and 5, for at least 1 year (longer if possible). The candidate should be responsible, trustworthy, efficient, empathetic, patient, clean, flexible, active, creative and honest. Basic cooking skills required, driver's license is a plus but not necessary.

We practice 'positive parenting' (no shouting, hitting or severe punishment - instead we try to see things from the child's perspective). We also try to instil healthy eating in the children - sugary and junk foods are severely limited / forbidden.

Both parents work full-time, the older child goes to kindergarten and the younger one to daycare 4 days / week. On a normal day, the nanny would give the older child lunch at home, take him to activities, then pick up the younger from day care, give both children dinner, a bath and start putting them to bed by the time the parents come home.

Ideally the candidate is a native German / Swiss-German speaker. If not, they should be a native English speaker with some knowledge of German. We are an international family - we have travelled and lived around the world, but we now consider Switzerland home and would like to integrate our children into the local culture.
