Hello! My name is Gemma, and I'm originally from the beautiful island of Menorca, Spain. I consider myself a responsible, friendly, patient, and creative person, someone who truly enjoys connecting with others, especially children. I'm currently based in Menorca after finishing my studies, and I’m ready to start a new adventure in Switzerland!
I’m a qualified early childhood educator and also hold a degree in Primary Education. Over the past 6 years, I’ve been closely involved in working with children; as a summer camp leader, basketball coach, and most recently, as the coordinator of a summer school. I've cared for children from as young as 7 months old to 6 years old, both in professional settings and personally.
I also have experience working with children with special needs, including those with severe developmental challenges, both in inclusive classrooms and during an Erasmus exchange program where I taught judo to children and adults with disabilities. Currently, I’m expanding my skills further by studying sign language and therapeutic pedagogy.
What makes me a unique caregiver is not only my training, but the passion I bring to this work. I believe children are pure souls who deserve an environment that nurtures their growth, curiosity, and joy. I love to educate through play, exploration, and connection with the world around them. For me, working with children is a beautiful and rewarding experience. I learn something new with them every day, and I always try to offer each child a small piece of my heart.
I’m open to full-time, part-time, or occasional childcare opportunities as I settle into life in Switzerland. I would love to get to know your family and see how we can best match schedules and needs. This price reflects both my official qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education, as well as more than 6 years of hands-on experience with children from 7 months to 6 years old, including those with special needs.
The rate covers not just supervision, but also educational and creative activities, support with routines like meals and bath time, and ensuring a safe, positive environment where your children can learn and grow. I believe that quality care requires full attention, responsibility, and dedication, and my rate allows me to offer exactly that.
