Hello! I'm a biology graduate from Łódź, Poland and I've been working as a babysitter for last 4 years. I'm moving near Genève (Gaillard, France) around July/August and as I plan to stay for longer, I'm looking for a new babysitting job. I'm sad to leave families I've worked for so far so I hope I can make new connections here.
My English is fluid, I call myself bilingual. I'm still at A1 with French but I learn fast when I'm in the country.
I'm deeply passionate about biology - my major was environmental biology and I'm mostly interested in invertebrate zoology and ecology. In my university I took part in educational workshops and animal shows for children aged 4-17. I'm a quiet person that's patient, gentle and empathetic. I'm familiar with Montessori approach to play and I use 'Gentle parenting' in my care so I'd rather get in touch with a family that isn't strict and avoids using punishments.
The activities I can provide are mostly: long walks (to explore nature, look at animals, talk about them, share fun facts, go to the playground, have picnics), reading, drawing (which I'm great at, I heard from a kid that I'm "better than a printer"), art and crafts, Montessori and more, but everything varies from preferences, available items and age. I can provide references from the 2 families I worked for in my home country if needed.
Unfortunately I don't own a car, I'll have to use the public transport and I think that's my biggest flaw. I also can't work full-time because of medical reasons, I'll need at least 3 days for "decompressing" during the week. I don't mind working on weekends and I watched over kids during night (although it's best if we know each other already so it's comfortable for the babies).
Message me if you're interested, thank you. :)
