We are an English-speaking family in Muzzano/Lugano looking for a warm, dependable, experienced nanny to become a consistent part of our family.

Schedule

We are offering:

Two full weekdays per week, approximately 7:00 AM–between 5:30 PM-8 PM
One date night/evening per week, approximately 4–5 hours
Approximately 30 hours per week

Tuesday and Thursday would be ideal for the full days, but we are flexible on the specific weekdays for the right person.

The evening can also be flexible and agreed upon based on availability.

There may be opportunities for additional hours and, once we have worked together for a while and everyone is comfortable, occasional overnight care, and travel.

Typical Full Day

Responsibilities would include:

Helping with the morning routine
Morning school drop-off for our three school-age children
Caring for our youngest child during the school day
Playing, reading, walks, outings and age-appropriate activities with the baby
Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children
Maintaining the baby's normal nap and daily routine
Afternoon school pickup
Evening routines and bedtime occasionally
Caring for the children until approximately between 5:30-8 PM
Light child-related tidying, such as cleaning up after meals, toys and activities
Weekly Date Night

One evening each week would include:

Caring for the children while we are out
Dinner/snacks as needed
Evening routines and bedtime
Light cleanup related to the children

This is primarily a childcare position, not a housekeeping position.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Warm, patient and genuinely enjoys children
Experienced caring for babies and toddlers
Comfortable caring for multiple children
Dependable and punctual
Interested in a consistent, long-term position
A confident and safe driver
Holds a valid driver's license
Comfortable transporting children to and from school
A non-smoker
Able to provide excellent childcare references

Must speak Italian.

Approximately 30 hours per week

Compensation

$25-28 CHF/hr based on experience.
