Hello 😊🌸!
My name’s Eva Maria. Being myself a young mother, I understand the worries and concerns that comes with entrusting someone else with your child, as it’s the most precious little person in your life. Relating to this feeling myself helps me approach every child and family with empathy, patience, and care.
Gentle by nature, and responsible, I truly enjoy supporting children as they grow learn and develop.
Years ago, I had the opportunity to volunteer with children in Belgium, helping them with their schoolwork as their parents weren’t understanding the country language and could then not help them. This experience had a profound impact on me. Over time I built genuine bonds with the children and we grew attached to one another. I loved being of a use for them. Not just with the schoolwork but as well being attentive to their needs, listening and letting them space to express themself. It’s takes time to build confidence specially for children around 7-8-9 as they are more aware of emotions such as shyness, fear… around new situation, environment or people. So letting them space to bloom at their own time is a must. And that’s one thing I learned as well.
I also studied psychology at the university, where I gained some notions about child development, emotions, and needs. As a mother of a 1 and half year, I as well have hands-on experience with the everyday needs and routine of young toddlers.
I love encouraging creativity, organizing age appropriate activities, and helping discover the world around. I strive my best to create a safe positive, and reassuring environment where kids can feel understood, valued and carried for. Their are not just children. They are little human beings and every experience shapes and sharpens the adult they will become. That’s why every interaction they have, matters.
As I speak French (native language), I can also offer them the opportunity to discover or practice it naturally ( with the authorization of the parents of course ) through play, stories, everyday conversations. It’s may not be a big plus but I think, the most languages we talk, the better it’s for the future. It’s can then be a lovely and fun way to support this while having fun!
Since moving to Switzerland after marriage, I unfortunately don’t have a family nearby who can look after my son. For this reason, depending on the family’s needs and our arrangements, i would ideally like to have the possibility to bring him along for certain babysitting sessions. I believe this could also be a lovely opportunity for the children to play together, develop their social skills and gradually learn about some human values as cooperation, empathy, sharing, kindness, respecting others and their needs. Of course, while ensuring that each child receives the care and attention he needs.
Childcare is more than simply looking for after a kid. It’s as well providing a reassuring presence as it’s very important from early age to feel secure, supported in the well being and helping them grow in a loving and positive environment.
I would love the opportunity to become someone your children feel comfortable and happy around, while building a trusting relationship with you as parents.
I look forward to meeting you and little ones !🌸💐
