Hello, Dear Families!
I recently moved near Geneva and I am currently working for an amazing Italian-Swiss family. I still have a bit of free time in my schedule, especially during weekends, so I would like to care for more children in the meantime. For the first few months I am available on a part-time basis but we can change to full-time after I finish the contract with the current family — I am as a replacement for their nanny that cannot work right now due to health problems.
I do not own a car so I need to be able to get to your place by public transport but I know the area quite well already and I am almost always on time. I use tpg, SSB and even TAC with no issues, I like to be punctual.
About me: I am a passionate biology graduate from Poland, EU. I have been working as a babysitter for last 4 years, including 3 years in one family of 4, mainly helping a single mom to raise a little girl that turned 4 in October. The other position I had was with a family with 2 children (toddler and kindergarten age) that lasted a whole year, and 2 short vacation jobs also with big families. I have got some experience with education as well — during my studies I volunteered in workshops about animal biodiversity and ecology, engaging children of all ages. If your children are just slightly interested in nature, I am sure they will never get bored with me!
The most experience babysitting I have is with toddlers — their chaotic, creative souls amaze me. I love how fast they learn just through play and watching them grow is a great reward. I got really attached to the family I have been working for and I am hoping to find a similar, long term connection here. I like to paint, draw, read, sing, play games, do puzzle, go on walks, and I am happy to learn more about what your kid likes. I have cared for neurodivergent children, I do not mind taking longer to gain their trust and understand their own language and different needs. In my care I use gentle parenting 'techniques' and Montessori play, I am calm and extremely patient.
I do not have experience housekeeping but I can help with housework as well, prepare balanced meals, take care of your animals, garden or help with renovation. I am an eldest daughter, I grew up helping my single mother with my disabled brother and the house chores. I am a self taught artist and I paint nature on furniture and walls, I could as well help decorate children's room if you have just moved in. Since it is also Christmas coming, I can gladly introduce you to my culture with cooking — we have special dishes like pierogi, zupa grzybowa, sernik, makowiec, most of them I have no problem recreating.
I am bilingual (Polish, English) and I am currently learning French. I would love to join an international French and/or English-speaking family as it would help me learn the language better. Polish is very similar to other Slavic languages as well so even if you speak Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Slovak, Czech etc. we might still be able to understand each other.
I am sure we can find a common ground with your schedule and hour rate (different in France and Switzerland).
