Hello Everyone,

My name is Neesha and I am 30 years old. I am an American nanny currently living in Urdorf, ZH. I am majoring in Psychology with a special interest in child development.

I believe in order to raise children who have the highest opportunity for healthy cognitive development, we need to educate ourselves on the implications of child-rearing without a robust understanding of how the early mind works, and how our behavior can effect our children in the future. I have now made it my responsibility to help bridge the gap between parenting and early psychological education for the families I work for.

Some facts about me:

✿ I also speak a bit of German and have acquired my A1 German literacy certification from TELC
✿ I am actively learning French, but hope to strengthen my abilities with continued practice and courses
✿ I have a visa (B permit)
✿ Experience with caring for multiple children at a time, under 4 years
✿ CPR & First Aid certified

✿ Big advocate for Montessori-style learning and gentle parenting

My work experience:
I have a highly administrative background, but in 2020 decided that despite being good at what I had done for the past decade I was much happier caring for children, as they brought me away from computer screens and corporate frivolity and into a space of wonder and appreciation for life.
I resigned from my position as corporate secretary of a real-estate software company (BuildingLink) and immediately sought out a childcare position. I was fortunate to quickly meet a lovely family comprised of a mother and two girls and essentially acted as a 'Mother's hand' , working in tandem to achieve emotional and educational goals as defined by the girls' parent. In addition to this role, I have personal experience caring for children as I am 1 of 10 siblings, many of whom are parents and I their devoted childminder.
My background in admin provides me with an understanding of the importance of infrastructure and organisation to achieve particular goals. This has proven very helpful when defining a routine that the children enjoy, but also one which satisfies the vision of care the parents I work with have for their children.
