Olivia, Kinderbetreuung - 1004 Lausanne

Hello,

My name is Olivia. Originally from the US, I moved to Switzerland in 2011 to be an au pair for a year. Currently I am in my last semester for a Master in Economics at the HEC Lausanne. This semester I am working full-time as an intern at UNITAR (unpaid), and thus am looking to babysit weekday nights (from 6pm in Geneva or 7pm in Lausanne) or anytime during the weekend.

I have over 3 years of experience working with children from ages 1-12 years old. I was an au pair for two different families for a year from 2011-2012 in Vevey with children ages 2, 4, 4, 7, and 8. During my studies in Geneva, I also worked part-time as an English teacher for children ages 4-6 doing group courses and private lessons for Spell Languages.

I also babysat my niece, 9 months old, for a month last February while my sister worked: giving her a bath, feeding her, putting her down for a nap, many diaper changes, doctor visits, taking her on a walk in the strollers, playing all day, and singing nursery rhymes.

With older children, I love to draw, play imaginary games, sports, read books, going to the park, and playing with their toys. I prefer that the children not watch the television or videos while I babysit. :)

I have an affinity for children and love to play, draw, learn and enjoy the outdoors with them. From my experience as an au pair and as an English teacher, I faced countless unforeseen experiences and have successfully managed to end the day with a smile on both my face as well as for the children.

I speak English and French fluently, with intermediate knowledge of Spanish after living in Mexico for a study abroad year.
